In 2021, our founders were running a B2B sales agency. Our cold emails had a 62% spam rate. The tools that existed were built for newsletters, not outreach. So we built something different — from the ground up, for cold emailers.

Q1 2021 — The Problem
Our cold emails were landing in spam — and we couldn't fix it
Co-founders Arjun and Priya were running a B2B lead generation agency. 62% of their cold emails were landing in spam, despite following all best practices. The tools available were either too expensive, too complex, or built for newsletter marketing — not cold outreach. They decided to build their own solution.
2021
Q3 2021 — The Build
First version of TuruMail launches internally
After 6 months of development, the first version of TuruMail went live for internal use at the agency. With dedicated IPs, automatic DKIM signing, and IP warmup built in, their inbox rate jumped from 62% to 94% within 30 days. Their agency's pipeline tripled. They knew they had something others needed.
2022
Q1 2022 — Public Launch
TuruMail opens to the public — 500 users in the first 30 days
After sharing TuruMail in a few cold email communities and forums, the response was overwhelming. 500 users signed up in the first month without any paid advertising. The feedback was unanimous: this was what cold emailers had been waiting for — professional-grade deliverability infrastructure at an accessible price.
2023
2023 — Scale & Features
Spintax, Visual Automation Builder, and Zapier integration ship
User feedback drove a wave of major feature releases: full Spintax support for content uniqueness, a visual drag-and-drop automation builder for multi-step cold email sequences, and a native Zapier integration connecting TuruMail to 5,000+ tools. The platform grew to 2,000+ active users. TuruMail raised its first seed round.
2024
2024 — Enterprise & API
White-label platform and full REST API launch for agencies
TuruMail launched its Enterprise tier with white-label capabilities, allowing agencies to run TuruMail under their own brand for clients. The full REST API enabled deep integrations with CRMs, lead databases, and custom sales tech stacks. Revenue tripled year-over-year. Team grew to 30 people across 4 countries.

2025 — AI Features & Global Expansion
AI-powered subject line optimization and inbox rate breaches 97%
TuruMail launched AI-powered subject line suggestions, send-time optimization, and automated spam score fixes. The platform's average inbox rate reached 97% — the highest in the industry. The user base crossed 5,000 active cold emailers across 40+ countries. TuruMail's dedicated SMTP server product became the cheapest professional-grade option on the market at $15/month.

2026 — Today & Beyond
10M+ cold emails daily and still growing
TuruMail now powers 10 million+ cold email sends per day across 5,000+ active users. The team is 50 people strong. We're building the next generation of cold email infrastructure — multi-inbox orchestration, AI-native sequence optimization, and deeper CRM integrations — all with the same obsession over deliverability that started this journey.
